Agreement with the Town of Nantucket
NANTUCKET, MA (February 25, 2005) WiBLAST Communications, LLC announced today that it has reached an agreement with the Town of Nantucket that will enable the company to expand its high speed, wireless, broadband Internet service on the island.
The Town agreed to grant WiBLAST the right to occupy space in the public way, which will provide the company greater ease in reaching areas otherwise too difficult to cover with private mounting rights. Subscribers to the wireless broadband service, ACKBLAST www.ackblast.com, named after the well-known designator of the Island's airport, will also benefit from the new agreement, making it the leading provider of wireless Internet service on Nantucket.
"The town's generous offer to allow us to use its property as a platform for our wireless cells will give the island's residents superior wireless Internet service," said John Havill, president of WiBLAST Communications. "We can now expand our service more rapidly using a state-of-the-art carrier grade wireless mesh technology that is in full compliance with FCC rules and regulations. We will continue to roll out our service on the Island, thanks to the Town of Nantucket."

The agreement with the town comes as WiBLAST is seeing steady gains in the number of subscribers heading into the spring season.
